Vice Provost and Dean of Research

Ann Arvin, MD, is the Lucile Salter Packard Professor of Pediatrics and Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the Stanford University School of Medicine and serves as the Vice Provost and Dean of Research at Stanford University. She joined Stanford as a research fellow in infectious diseases in 1975 and was appointed to the faculty in 1978. Dr. Arvin served as Chief of the Infectious Diseases Division, Department of Pediatrics and the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford from 1984 to 2006. She was Associate Dean of Research at Stanford from 2001 to 2006.
